What is MasterClass?
MasterClass is the streaming platform where anyone can learn from the world's best. Members get unlimited access to all 100+ instructors across 11 categories with their annual membership. Stream anytime, anywhere, at your own pace.
What format do the classes take?
MasterClass is an immersive learning experience. The curriculum for each MasterClass is designed by the instructor. Each class features about 20 video lessons, at an average of 10 minutes per lesson. You can learn on your own terms—in bite-size pieces or in a single binge. Cinematic visuals and close-up, hands-on demonstrations make you feel like you’re one-on-one with the instructors, while the downloadable instructor guides help reinforce your learning. In addition, many members utilize the class discussions below each video to share their thoughts, and upload and provide feedback on each other's work.
How long is each class?
Each class consists of 2-5+ hours of video content which is split up into individual lesson videos that you can watch and re-watch at any time. In addition to the lesson videos, each class has a downloadable Instructor Guide that you can use to supplement the videos and a member community that you can use to exchange feedback and discuss the lessons.
Each member is on their own journey. You can learn on your own terms—in bite-size pieces or in a single binge.

Do I have to complete the class within a specific time frame?
No, you can learn on your own terms—in bite-size pieces or in a single binge. You have unlimited access to every class you purchased individually.

Does my year of access with the annual membership start on my purchase date, or when I enroll in a class?
Access to your annual membership begins on the date you subscribe to the annual membership.
*If you’ve purchased the annual membership as a gift for someone else, their year of access will begin when they activate their gift.
What does the annual membership include?
With an annual membership, members get unlimited access to all 100+ instructors across 11 categories, downloadable instructor guides and a member community group that you can use to exchange feedback and discuss the lessons.
Am I able to interact with my instructor?
Some of our instructors may provide feedback to select members on member questions or work. We may also partner with instructors from time to time to host special live Q&A sessions and opportunities for member participation. We cannot guarantee instructor-member interaction but will inform members if and as these opportunities become available.

What type of device / browser do I need?
You can view classes on any internet-enabled device, on any modern browser.
You can stream anywhere, anytime, on mobile, tablet, desktop, Apple TV®, Android™ TV, Amazon Fire TV® and Roku® players and devices.

Is there homework with the class?
There are suggested exercises to practice the skills being taught - but no assignments are required.
What happens after I finish the class?
You can review the class materials at any time. You can also interact with the community of other members to encourage each other to practice your craft. And, you don’t have to stop after one class! The annual membership provides access to all 100+ MasterClass instructors across 11 categories.
Can I download the videos?
The video lessons are not available to download from the web, however, members can download them for offline viewing using our mobile app for iOS.
Can I give a MasterClass as a gift?
Yes! There is a 'Gift' option on every class signup page.
What is your refund policy?
We offer full refunds up to 30 days after purchase and only purchases made through the masterclass.com website. For purchases made through a third party, you will have to reach out to the third party company for refunds and adhere to their refund policy.
